The Fitzwilliam has extensive Egyptian, Greek and Roman collections, illuminated manuscripts and one of the most comprehensive displays of English pottery and porcelain. Painting include works by Titian, Gainsborough, Hogarth and Turner. In the Folk Museum a vast array of domestic articles and trade equipment reflects local life over the past few hundred years. World-wide extensive collections are housed in the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology and at the Scott Polar Research Institute you can see relics, souvenirs, letters, diaries and photographs from Captain Scott's journey to the South Pole.
