Mid Wales offers a varied landscape, from the mountains of Snowdonia and the Cambrian range to sleepy fishing villages along the gentle sweep of Cardigan Bay. In the North is the area of Meirionnydd nearly all of which is within the boundary of the Snowdonia National Park. Ceredigion runs along the southern sweep of Cardigan Bay, with Aberystwyth the main resort. Inland lies Montgomeryshire which runs from the high, wild Cambrian Mountains down to the rolling hills of the border country. The Heart of Wales also lies on the border and is famous farming country.
